Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (SMS) is one of America’s top-five non-bank mortgage-servicing companies. What is mortgage servicing? Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms). On their behalf, we manage (or "service") their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.
 

Summary:

Manages all aspects of the OnBase and other imaging systems at the company and serves as the technical owner.  Responsibilities include user and group administration, software maintenance, coordination with infrastructure, and ownership of software/support contracts & agreements.   In addition, this role will performs document taxonomy and assist with the coordination of image loading.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for document management and records management in OnBase

  • Administer all aspects of the OnBase system including performance tuning, security, automation, upgrades and general maintenance.  Act as Subject Matter Expert on the system

  • Oversee and perform image taxonomy

  • Recommend preferred methods for electronic document capture and storage.

  • Work with all departments to identify business processes that can be streamlined or automated by utilizing the OnBase system or other third party imaging tools

  • Design all workflows requiring external integrations to be vendor agnostic where practical.

  • Work with Application Development to integrate OnBase into vendor supplied and internally developed applications

  • Develop system and workflow documentation

  • Train end users and the training department on the use of the OnBase system.

  • Manage all ECM projects, liaise with business leaders to properly prioritize

  • Proactively research, suggest and drive automation agenda to improve accuracy and reduce costs in the organization

  • Ensure daily run activities are carried out accurately and properly

  • Streamline existing procedures regarding OnBase

  • Assist in the coordination of loading and unloading loan boarding and de-boarding images

  • Act as backup for loan boarding which may include mapping documents, writing or tuning SQL queries, receiving and reviewing documents for client transfers, perform and post load analysis and investigations. 

  • Perform monthly reporting or more frequently as needed by the business

  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by management and business need

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 4+ years of technical expertise experience with OnBase or an equivalent ECM system

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, SQL database, SQL scripts and queries.

  • Experience managing enterprise systems

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to exercise good judgment especially where borrower or client data is affected

  • Adept at applying troubleshooting techniques in a high pressure environment

  • Ability to provide service to other departments while managing internal project loads

  • Familiar with working in a data warehouse environment

  • Ability to prioritize and remain focused in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task and resolve issues in a timely manner and within established SLA’s

Educational Requirements/Certifications:

  • OnBase Administrator and OnBase Workflow Certifications required, advanced certifications a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of some college and relevant experience may be considered
