POSITION SUMMARY

Handle inbound and outbound calls supporting homeowner questions and helping homeowners to become engaged in loss mitigation workout assistance.

DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls supporting homeowner questions and helping homeowners to become engaged in loss mitigation workout assistance.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and underwriting routine individual consumer reports.
  • Analyzing and understanding credit bureau information, collateral valuation reports, tax returns, financial statements, property insurance declaration pages, Homeowners Association (HOA) documents and other supporting documentation to verify customer financial and property data.
  • Reviewing modification documents against servicing systems and make corrections/ensuring modifications are fully completed.
  • Auditing modification packages, ensuring customer has sent in all information required for processing.
  • Ensure necessary steps are taken to resolve modification discrepancies within established deadlines.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in mortgage loan processing.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Ability to obtain and maintain ongoing Mortgage Loan Originator License.
  • Overall knowledge of mortgage loan servicing and loan modification process.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Portfolio management, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet goals and deadlines in a fast-paced stressful environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and good telephone technique.
  • Strong numeric aptitude, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to remain on the phone for long periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Use of a computer for long periods of time, including typing and viewing monitor.
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift to include nights and weekends as requested.

Position responsibilities are governed by Federal SAFE Act qualification standards and/or state licensing, registration, or exemption requirements.
