Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (SMS) is America’s 9th-largest third-party mortgage servicing company. What is mortgage servicing? Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms); on their behalf, we manage (or "service") their loan portfolios: We collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay homeowners’ tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.


The Loss Mitigation Fulfillment Performance Manager will focus on identifying and managing the key factors that drive performance within the department with a strong focus on Ginnie Mae Loss Mitigation processing. This individual will also focus on adherence to standards and manage a team of associates performing complex Fulfillment tasks.


  • Serve as SME for all processes related to Ginnie Mae Loss Mitigation including negotiating, buyouts and re-pooling, and fulfillment processing.
  • Manage a team of Fulfillment specialists located at both GVL and HOU sites
  • Provide oversight, management, and monitoring of department workflow to ensure timely and accurate process adherence
  • Create and utilize performance dashboards, scorecards and process maps
  • Monitor for changes in trends, Ginnie Mae regulation changes and outliers that impact portfolio performance, focusing on identification of improvement opportunities
  • Work directly with the Loss Mitigation Business Analyst to create automation and reporting to monitor and enhance department performance
  • Identify key constraints and roadblocks to improved modification processing timelines and individual performance levels
  • Monitor productivity and determine means to increase output
  • Create new process and manage changes to existing procedures
  • Identify factors that could lead to financial performance penalties to the organization and work with appropriate leadership to remedy/mitigate risk
  • Provide detailed reporting on timeliness of all Ginnie Mae required processes and work with all Loss Mitigation and Fulfillment teams to monitor performance
  • Hold weekly performance update meeting with Senior Management
  • Assist in expanding Fulfillment’s Quality Assurance oversight and review based on quality issues identified via performance oversight


  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory, or audit function
  • In depth knowledge of GSE Loss Mitigation requirements required, Ginnie Mae Loss Mitigation experience preferred
  • Demonstrated achievement in identifying and managing performance targets
  • Demonstrated ability to report on data and analyze results
  • Must have strong communication skills; strong analytical skills; and strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills and be able to work independently
  • Must have excellent process management skills and experience writing detailed procedures
  • Strong Excel skills required, Visio skills desired but not required
  • Lean or Six Sigma training is a plus

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required, college degree preferred but not required
