POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager - Cash Operations Performance plays a critical role in overseeing key performance indicators (KPIs), enhancing reporting frameworks, managing queries, and optimizing performance monitoring systems. The Manager - Cash Operations Performance ensures that performance metrics are accurately reported, analyzed, and utilized to optimize department operations. This role is responsible for enhancing reporting tools, maintaining data integrity, and supporting leadership with actionable insights for real-time decisions. Critical business days, including all month-ends and other high priority deadlines may require extended hours and availability to work as late as midnight.
DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and automate operational performance reports, focusing on cash flow, reconciliation, and processing times.
- Create ad hoc reports for senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Analyze trends, forecasts, and financial data to provide insights that can drive decision-making.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Structured Query Language (SQL) query creation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, process, and analyze operational data from databases.
- Develop and maintain a robust reporting infrastructure using SQL and other database management tools.
- Develop dashboards and performance metrics to monitor cash operations processes in real-time.
- Conduct regular assessments of Cash Operations processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with the operations team to propose solutions for performance improvements.
- Perform personnel managerial duties such as goal setting and tracking, performance monitoring and coaching, ensuring associate engagement, and other typical managerial duties.
- Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in data analytics and performance management.
- 2+ years’ prior supervisory experience.
- Banking, finance, or accounting experience a plus.
- Experience with SQL, query management, and reporting systems is essential.
- Experience leading or supervising others.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Strong proficiency in SQL and query building
- Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Solid understanding of performance metrics and KPIs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong Interpersonal communication skills are required, with the ability to communicate with C-level management.
