Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms). On their behalf, we manage (or "service") their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.
Primary Function
The Mortgage Insurance (MI) Specialist will be responsible for preparing monthly reports, reconciling, research, and remittance of all MI premiums. In addition, the MI specialist monitors and processes MI cancellation requests per Investor guidelines. An MI specialist will perform all duties in accordance with the company guidelines, applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

- Update MI lines on the system of record to maintain accurate records.
- Complete and maintain monthly portfolio audits.
- Process bulk batch payments of MI premiums on a monthly basis.
- Order and evaluate appraisals when appropriate.
- Review and complete MI related research items via task work queue.
- Review and process MI cancellation requests including ordering new valuations.
- Ensures accounts are properly documented with accurate and comprehensive status updates.
- Follows established company guidelines, department policies and procedures.
- Entering daily productivity into department database.
- Ensures compliance with all investor and state guidelines.
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience
Required education and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- College degree preferred, not required.
- Minimum of 1+ years residential mortgage loan servicing experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required knowledge, skills, and ability.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proven ability to work well both independently and as a team member.
- Ability to make sound decisions based upon department, company policies, procedures, knowledge, and experience.
- Flexible to changing priorities, project scopes, and deadlines.
- Excellent work ethic, high productivity, and acute attention to detail
