Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (SMS) is one of America’s top-five non-bank mortgage-servicing companies. What is mortgage servicing? Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms). On their behalf, we manage (or "service") their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.
Summary:
The Senior Director of Investor Reporting is responsible for the overall direction of the Investor Reporting and Investor Accounting department. This includes reporting, remitting, and reconciliation on all clients and investors per the timelines in the respective agreements or Agency guidelines. The Senior Director will also be required to participate in client presentations and a full range of activities which assists with the operational effectiveness of the business unit. Included in the client types are S/S, S/A, A/A, and all GSE loan types. The Senior Director will be responsible for working with corporate accounting and related third parties to ensure financial control of all money movement related to advances, collections and advance facilities.
Responsibilities:
Act as the lead to retrieve and analyze information from various departments
Manage ad hoc projects and assignments as needed
Identify, track, and analyze key metrics for the business unit
Responsible for the development and management of staff at multiple sites
Reviews and creates documentation for marketing purposes
Develops presentations to define the corporate message
Provides account management to existing servicing clients
Creates reports (quality, productivity, customer service, operational efficiency)
Manages projects with IT to conduct testing to meet project timelines
Manages client relationship through all phases of the servicing cycle
Review reporting tools for current clients
Creates and maintains project schedules
Analyzes data for rating agencies
Qualifications/Skills:
10+ years of mortgage experience required
5+ years of private or GSE investor reporting required
Prior experience with SBO, Blackline, and/or Servicing Director preferred
Strong knowledge of Excel
Strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well with and lead a team through a project
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or a combination of some college and relevant experience
