Who we are

Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (SMS) is one of America’s top-five non-bank mortgage-servicing companies. What is mortgage servicing? Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms). On their behalf, we manage (or "service") their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.
 

Summary

Execute the company’s business-communications strategy, which involves social media management and leadership of all photo and video production. Acting as directed by the Business Communications Senior Manager, the individual uses strong understanding of social media content, research competitors to help generate more followers, and lighting techniques for shooting cinematic quality videos for website production, YouTube, and email marketing. Acting as directed by the Business Communications Senior Manager, the individual uses solid written and visual communication skills, organizational skills, and creativity to help plan, execute, and maintain a wide range of social content and video productions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager on various internal and external communication projects.

  • Develop graphics and content for social media posts, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

  • Design and maintain all corporate branding materials.

  • Develop graphics and content for internal marketing, including promotional events, holiday giveaways, giving initiatives, homeowner heroes, employee of the month, and client champion.

  • Ensures creative marketing materials are regularly reviewed and refreshed.

  • Monthly analytics for social media/video including engagement, likes, comments.

  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for homeowner-focused content, including how-to videos, DIY, article-based content, website and online account navigation, promotional social videos, recruiting videos, corporate training, and other enterprise-wide projects.

  • Script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines, and select optimal forms of media for projects.

  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables.

  • Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content.

  • Develop production schedules, video shoots, scout, select, and reserve shoot locations as needed.

  • Pre and Post Production: Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/SFX, media management and archiving and manage project media.

  • Determines the necessary technical supports, such as lighting, sound, backdrops, and special needs, necessary for the video productions in advance of production dates.

  • Purchases, leases and/or borrows equipment as needed, within specified budgetary limits as advised with the Senior Manager.

  • Monitors the condition of equipment, including video production lighting, sound, and rigging equipment; arranges for the repair and replacement within budgetary constraints; performs preventive maintenance on equipment.

  • Work with the creative team on specific angles, materials needed for various content pieces or specific needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 5+ years’ professional experience in communications, marketing, or public relations. Degree in communications, marketing, video production or PR can be substituted for work experience.

  • Willing to travel to other locations.

  • Proven record of excellence in writing and video production skills, demonstrated in a professional portfolio.

  • Demonstrable social content with proven uptick of engagement on posts.

  • Flexible, teachable, and eager to learn; able to work well in a collaborative/team environment.

  • Understands principles of quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Detail-oriented, with good organizational skills.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio), desktop publishing tools (such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.), email marketing systems (such as Constant Contact, SendGrid, or MailChimp), and online survey solutions (such as SurveyMonkey and Alchemer).

  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and ability to generate new ideas, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems

  • Experienced and familiar with the effective use of social media in B2B and B2C business environments.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management

  • Professional grasp of idioms and current trends in slang and expressions

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously

  • Strict adherence to the company style guide and policies for publication.

  • Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary

  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques, especially SEO

  • Willingness to multitask and take on new initiatives.
